DeviantArt Is Down But I Need To Get These Off My Gallery

Sometimes I like to consider myself an illustrator. Every now and then I will have the inspiration to draw a bunch of scenarios. Recently, I have been enamored with horror concepts and playing with color (thanks to James Gurney's videos on YouTube, I thought I can easily use gouache).

Eh. I figured out how much of a painfully slow learner I am whenever I get to try coloring artwork. It's a cycle: impressive pencil sketches -> passable line art -> butchered coloring -> repeat. I know I should just trust the process but my process is not... processing.

Although I learned later on that much of the success -- and failure -- of a painting (and any artwork, in general) lies in the quality of the medium. This is true, actually. But, this post is not about all of the things mentioned above. I just have to ramble a bit because, well, I just had a need to and I couldn't access my DeviantArt account for goodness' sake.

So the purpose of this post is to become an alternative venue to post some of my drawings that are mostly in ink and pencils (I love the medium. It seemed only yesterday when I was so terrified of it).
